Rayleigh Scattering reviewed on Boomkat

The Fractal Skulls’ full length debut LP, Rayleigh Scattering, received an enthusiastic review from tastemaking online retailer Boomkat this week. Boomkat said:

“If there’s one thing we love it’s stumbling across assured new artists whom you feel you should really know already. ‘Rayleigh Scattering’ has a strangely familiar feel about it; there are hints of Pye Corner Audio’s pulsating analogue linearity, moments of blissed ‘tronica a la the Public Information label, and even Broadcast-like spellcasting, all infused with a rich palate of found sounds captured in Sibenik, Croatia, New York City, and his home locale of Buckinghamshire, UK. And most crucially it’s all done with a knowing subtlety – none of that overdriven “kraut”-referencing shite or soppy, bleached ambient, just rich melodies, supple rhythms and a lovely, dreamy grasp of pace and space ideal for home listening and long car journeys. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more from this guy.”

Cheers Boomkat!
