Better known as the driving force behind electronica act Blank Disco, Dan Seville has recently been busy establishing a second recording life as Remote Field. Identifying a harder and heavier strand to some of his material that didn’t sit easily with the Blank Disco aesthetic, Dan developed the Remote Field project to give voice to this more intransigent side of his output. Drawing inspiration from the uncompromising challenge of brutalist architecture, Remote Field serves up a take-it-or-leave it brand of high impact techno that takes the form back to its vital basics.
